Salomon Duran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Blen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Salomon Durans short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Benito Blen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The Real Cartagines fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Real Cartagines's Christiano Mangueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The referee gave Leon Carrillo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
