In the 36th minute of the match, Adalberto Rosabal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marco Sarmiento was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 40 minutes of play Ojochal's Herberto Chaverri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Herberto Chaverri kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Adalberto Rosabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stanley Saborio kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Olman Volio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Nery Obando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Chico Alpizar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nery Obando, passed just outside the right post. Ojochal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
