Spectators: 6808 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Johan Elizondo kicked off to start the match. Kamuk AFC's Chico Alpizar got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valentin Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Alpizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Elizondo in the 11th minute of play forced Kamuk AFC's goalkeeper Marco Sarmiento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Matos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olman Volio in the 13th minute. Braulio Naranjo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Sarmiento having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Naranjo in the 22nd minute of play forced Kamuk AFC's goalkeeper Marco Sarmiento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanley Blen kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Marco Sarmiento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Naranjo in the 23rd minute of play. Braulio Naranjo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 minutes of play, Alajuela's Johan Elizondo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Sarmiento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Luna's late challenge caught a Kamuk AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luna helped the player get up and apologised. Alonzo Williams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Kamuk AFC booed when Alajuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes Alajuela got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luna. 43 minutes into the match, Alajuela's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Alpizar came free, but Valentin Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Braulio Naranjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chico Alpizar to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Kamuk AFC's Olman Volio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Alajuela's Pedro Luna got a free kick in the 57th minute. A hard shot 64 in the game by Braulio Naranjo from a close distance when the talented Marco Sarmiento managed to make a qualified save. Kamuk AFC's players were relieved. After 67 played minutes Kamuk AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Tenorio. Elias Picado succeeded in the game's 68th minute to get real power on a long shot . Kamuk AFC's Marco Sarmiento hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-2! In the 72nd minute, Nestor Tenorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Kamuk AFC's goalkeeper Marco Sarmiento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Braulio Naranjo. The audience was convinced that Chico Alpizar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Matos was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Abelardo Hurtado kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Alajuela's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
