Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute, Buenaventura Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Cordoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garita having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Ulises Serrano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liberia AFC and the Mal pais AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Liberia AFC's Ulises Serrano got a free kick in the 11th minute. Alberto Pinto hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Liberia AFC's Uriel Barrantes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mal pais AFC. Alain Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darien Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Liberia AFC's Alain Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darien Lara in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Liberia AFC's Orlando Cordoba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Garita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Keilor Umaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garita having to interfere. Gilberto Garita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Cordoba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Abel Ulloa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Liberia AFC's Alain Martinez didn't even have to move. Herberto Merino kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Keilor Umaña kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 45thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Mal pais AFC's keeper Gilberto Garita was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Macho Kamakiri during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Liberia AFC booed when Mal pais AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Macho Kamakiri didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darien Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Liberia AFC's Alain Martinez got control of the ball when Ignacio Piedra tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Liberia AFC's goalkeeper Alain Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Piedra. Keilor Umaña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Gilberto Garita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alain Martinez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Piedra in the 63rd minute. Alain Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darien Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gilberto Garita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Cordoba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 67 minutes, Ignacio Piedra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mal pais AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Piedra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Cordoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garita having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mal pais AFC's Felix Garita got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Orlando Cordoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mainor Segura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 minutes of play, Liberia AFC's Keilor Umaña made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilberto Garita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilberto Garita came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Liberia AFC's Keilor Umaña. But to his dismay, Keilor Umaña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Liberia AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
