Kenneth Sanabria's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Martin Ayala skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Los Chiles AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Marco Chaclar hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Los Chiles AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Osorio. 24 minutes into the game, Los Chiles AFC's Anselmo Vega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manrique Piedra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 32ndth minute of the game Kenneth Sanabria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Chiles AFC's Martin Ayala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Los Chiles AFC's goalkeeper Martin Ayala had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenneth Sanabria. If Anselmo Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenneth Sanabria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Martin Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Tres Rios's Asdrubal Sibaja dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asdrubal Sibaja was the one to do the kick off. Martin Ayala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asdrubal Sibaja's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Los Chiles AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Asdrubal Sibaja came free, but Martin Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tres Rios's zone, Edwin Mesa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manrique Piedra came out of the goal and Edwin Mesa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Vega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manrique Piedra having to interfere. Anselmo Vega succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 64th playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenneth Sanabria in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Ayala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Asdrubal Sibaja came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Tres Rios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asdrubal Sibaja couldn't finish the play. Manrique Piedra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anselmo Vega showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. Felipe Morera hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Kenneth Sanabria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tres Rios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Sanabria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenneth Sanabria in the 90th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Los Chiles AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Asdrubal Sibaja came free, but Martin Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Tres Rios supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Chiles AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Chiles AFC.
