Spectators: 6806 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Guido Oviedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Guido Oviedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guido Oviedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Reyes having to interfere. The supporters of Chacarita booed when Grecia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Centeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willie Paniagua in the 17th minute of play. Henry Ramirez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mainor Godinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Guido Oviedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grecia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Oviedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Reyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes Grecia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Rosabal. Angelin Duran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Henry Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Paniagua, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. David Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Oviedo in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Mainor Godinez made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Angelin Duran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Angelin Duran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Willie Paniagua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grecia AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willie Paniagua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Guido Oviedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Grecia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelin Duran came free, but Henry Ramirez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Ramirez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelin Duran in the 66th minute of play. Pancho Davila's late challenge caught a Grecia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pancho Davila helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Chacarita:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grecia AFC:s goal. The goalkeeper, David Reyes, was totally fooled by Grecia AFC's Ricardo Centeno, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Willie Paniagua might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Reyes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willie Paniagua ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelin Duran in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henry Ramirez saved Grecia AFC from getting behind. In the 81st minute Guido Oviedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Grecia AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Darien Sirias hit a great ball. Angelin Duran struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Henry Ramirez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chacarita. If Willie Paniagua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Willie Paniagua dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Reyes, 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grecia AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
