Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) Naranjo's Heriberto Davila started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Cesar Fallas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Fallas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Jaco defense, Heriberto Davila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chunche Quiros. The Jaco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chunche Quiros should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute Heriberto Davila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chunche Quiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asdrubal Garro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Otto Arguedas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Adolfo Valverde took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Asdrubal Garro. Naranjo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chunche Quiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Chunche Quiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Elizondo in the 27th minute of the match. Chunche Quiros came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Naranjo's Virgilio Orozco. But to his dismay, Virgilio Orozco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.

Virgilio Orozco in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chunche Quiros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Naranjo's Heriberto Davila got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Virgilio Orozco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Chunche Quiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Heriberto Davila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chunche Quiros having to interfere. Chunche Quiros made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Virgilio Orozco sent off a good shot on target. If Heriberto Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Fallas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cesar Fallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asdrubal Garro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otto Arguedas went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. Chunche Quiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heriberto Davila's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Jaco got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Valverde. Josue Colon, 85 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Heriberto Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heriberto Davila kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Asdrubal Garro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Arguedas in the 95th minute of play.
