Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) Otto Arguedas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 7 played minutes Jaco got a freekick which was hit by Alex Carballo. Wilbert Palacios charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilbert Palacios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paquera getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Wilbert Palacios hit a great ball. Alex Carballo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jason Contreras made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Cesar Fallas sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Medina in the 25th minute of play forced Jaco's goalkeeper Chunche Quiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paquera's Irvin Badilla got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chunche Quiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Medina, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Jaco getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alvin Williams hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Fallas got free with Jason Contreras in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Paquera's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cesar Fallas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Irvin Badilla was the one to do the kick off. Jason Contreras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Arguedas in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Paquera getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Wilbert Palacios hit a great ball. If Cesar Fallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Arguedas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 minutes, Nestor Jarquin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaco and the Paquera players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Jaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Jarquin to maneuver through the defense. Paquera's Otto Medina got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, Cesar Fallas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Fallas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cesar Fallas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Fallas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Contreras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Fallas in the 82nd minute of play forced Paquera's goalkeeper Jason Contreras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Jaco's goalkeeper Chunche Quiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otto Medina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Fallas in the 92nd minute of play forced Paquera's goalkeeper Jason Contreras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Otto Arguedas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Arguedas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Contreras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cesar Fallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paquera had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
