Claudio Fallas scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Mesa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enrique Arroyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emmanuel Sancho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Baru FC booed when Parrita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Centeno didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adalberto Barboza fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baru FC's protests and gave Adalberto Barboza a yellow card for diving instead. Adalberto Barboza hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Valentin Madrigal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. David Mesa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Irvin Barahona in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emmanuel Sancho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 40 minutes into the game, Romulo Coronado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parrita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baru FC the free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Fallas to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Parrita's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Sarmiento came free, but Emmanuel Sancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emmanuel Sancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Arroyo in the 56th minute of play. Enrique Arroyo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emmanuel Sancho having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, Baru FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Fallas came free, but David Mesa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, David Mesa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Alberto Reyes fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baru FC's protests and gave Alberto Reyes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Alberto Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Parrita's Alejandro Moya tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 94 minutes, Alberto Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baru FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Reyes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Parrita supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Parrita would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
