Adrian Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Marco Jimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tulio Lankaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chunche Amador had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tamarindo AFC's Buenaventura Godinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Duran in the 11th minute of play. Gonzalo Duran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th match minute, Tamarindo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eladio Calvo to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Avila hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Adolfo Cartin hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Nicolas Hurtado charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Hurtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Cahuita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Hurtado to maneuver through the defense. After 31 minutes of play, Cahuita FC's Gonzalo Duran made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Buenaventura Godinez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Buenaventura Godinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Duran in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Tamarindo AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Emmanuel Picado hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Tamarindo AFC's Buenaventura Godinez got control of the ball when Gonzalo Duran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Emmanuel Picado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tulio Lankaster was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Emmanuel Picado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tulio Lankaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tulio Lankaster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Picado in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Tamarindo AFC's goalkeeper Buenaventura Godinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Duran. Chunche Amador might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Buenaventura Godinez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chunche Amador ran back to his position shaking his head. Adolfo Cartin kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The Cahuita FC fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Cahuita FC's Gonzalo Duran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Buenaventura Godinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chunche Amador in the 87th minute of play. Adolfo Cartin kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Tamarindo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chunche Amador came free, but Buenaventura Godinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cahuita FC defense, Emmanuel Picado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tulio Lankaster. The Cahuita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tulio Lankaster should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
