Nacho Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Matute having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chunche Amador in the 26th minute of play forced Kamuk AFC's goalkeeper Paul Matute to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elmer Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tulio Lankaster having to interfere. The supporters of Cahuita FC booed when Kamuk AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Chunche Amador who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kamuk AFC's Paul Matute was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Baltazar Avila fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cahuita FC's protests and gave Baltazar Avila a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cahuita FC's Baltazar Avila got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chunche Amador to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Kamuk AFC's zone, Gonzalo Duran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Matute came out of the goal and Gonzalo Duran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cahuita FC booed when Kamuk AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darien Hidalgo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chunche Amador might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Matute.
