Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emmanuel Picado started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Picado in the 3rd minute of play forced Cahuita FC's goalkeeper Tulio Lankaster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gonzalo Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cahuita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Duran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buenaventura Godinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tamarindo AFC's zone, Chunche Amador stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Buenaventura Godinez came out of the goal and Chunche Amador tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Jimenez's late challenge caught a Cahuita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Jimenez helped the player get up and apologised. Gonzalo Durans short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Buenaventura Godinez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th match minute, Cahuita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nacho Leon to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes Cahuita FC got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Leon. If Emmanuel Picado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cahuita FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Nacho Leon hit a great ball. Gonzalo Duran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Buenaventura Godinez made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chunche Amador was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Chunche Amador left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cahuita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Chunche Amador had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute of the match Adrian Duarte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Buenaventura Godinez skillfully saved the ball. Marco Jimenez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The long shot by Rafa Arce in the 72nd minute really tested Tulio Lankaster's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 74th minute Emmanuel Picado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tulio Lankaster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Cahuita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Avila to maneuver through the defense. Emmanuel Picado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tulio Lankaster having to interfere. Buenaventura Godinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chunche Amador in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Tamarindo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chunche Amador came free, but Buenaventura Godinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gonzalo Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gonzalo Duran struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Buenaventura Godinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cahuita FC. In the 88th minute, Chunche Amador hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Adrian Duarte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Buenaventura Godinez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Tamarindo AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Franklin Barrantes hit a great ball. The Tamarindo AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cahuita FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
