The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Orosi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grecia FC:s goal. Isidoro Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berny Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Jorge Villegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orosi's Otton Porras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abelardo Jimenez made the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Jimenez in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Grecia FC's Alonzo Saborio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otton Porras. That made the score 0-5 after 79 minutes of play. If Abelardo Jimenez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Jorge Villegas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otton Porras. The goal made the score 0-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grecia FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
