If Alonzo Saborio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Chunche Solera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jorge Villegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Carmen getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hector Matute hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Nelson Guillen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Grecia FC's Isidoro Campos. Isidoro Campos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jorge Villegas scored 1-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Macho Federspiel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Matute to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes El Carmen got a freekick which was hit by Herberto Campos. Grecia FC's Oldemar Oreamuno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Macho Federspiel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 58th match minute, El Carmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Guillen to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, El Carmen's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Villegas came free, but Macho Federspiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Villegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Macho Federspiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidoro Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Guillen in the 66th minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play, El Carmen's Nelson Guillen made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidoro Campos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herberto Campos hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A hard shot 79 in the game by Alonzo Saborio from a close distance when the talented Macho Federspiel managed to make a qualified save. El Carmen's players were relieved. In the 88th minute, Alonzo Saborio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Macho Federspiel. The goal made the score 3-3. During the 94th minute of the match Buenaventura Figueroa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Buenaventura Figueroa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Grecia FC's Buenaventura Figueroa got a free kick in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
