After taking down the ball on Santa Ana AFC's corner Gonzalo Gaitan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arsenio Centeno quite easily take care of the ball. After 6 played minutes Santa Ana AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Ugalde. In the 9th minute, Carlos Marin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenio Centeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Barquero, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Alexander Barquero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Ana AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Barquero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arsenio Centeno was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Abel Carballo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abel Carballo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Gomez in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Macho Hidalgo saved Santa Ana AFC from getting behind. If Alexander Barquero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Carballo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Arsenio Centeno made a huge save. Clodomiro Arroyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macho Hidalgo having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alexander Barquero made the kick off in the second half. Arsenio Centeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Barquero, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Arsenio Centeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Barquero in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Santa Ana AFC booed when JessMic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Lehman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alexander Barquero came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Santa Ana AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Barquero couldn't finish the play. Santa Ana AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
