Spectators: 6797 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1797, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vicente Monge started the match with the kick off. Mariano Azofeifa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vicente Monge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Alfaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Williams in the 15th minute of the match. Keylor Borbon kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Azofeifa got free with Arsenio Centeno in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arsenio Centeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Monge in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tilaran FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Williams came free, but Otto Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Williams during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Nestor Williams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Monge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Arsenio Centeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. JessMic FC's Arsenio Centeno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save JessMic FC from getting a goal against them. Mariano Azofeifa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Arsenio Centeno made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Williams to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Azofeifa in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arsenio Centeno saved JessMic FC from getting behind. When Rene Lehman fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JessMic FC's protests and gave Rene Lehman a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Vicente Monge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tilaran FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Monge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Tilaran FC's Clodomiro Monge broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After recieving a nice pass, JessMic FC's Eladio Peña tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tilaran FC's Otto Alfaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Tilaran FC from getting a goal against them. Nestor Williams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Otto Alfaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tilaran FC's zone, Nestor Williams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Alfaro came out of the goal and Nestor Williams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Monge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Monge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Centeno having to interfere. In the 80th minute of the match Keylor Borbon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arsenio Centeno skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind JessMic FC's goalkeeper Arsenio Centeno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Azofeifa struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Arsenio Centeno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tilaran FC. Vicente Monge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Centeno having to interfere. Arsenio Centeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Monge in the 88th minute of the match. JessMic FC's Nestor Williams got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Vicente Monge notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of JessMic FC's Arsenio Centeno. Arsenio Centeno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Tilaran FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
