Spectators: 6800 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) Turrialba's Alejandro Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chunche Mena in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Turrialba's Emilio Gamboa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With his leg Omar Alpizar managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Turrialba's Emilio Gamboa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alejandro Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodomiro Godinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th play minute Jorge Serrano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Omar Alpizar. 2-0. Gabriel Gamboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Clodomiro Godinez made the kick off in the second half. Clodomiro Godinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Cordero having to interfere. Chunche Mena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alejandro Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Jorge Serrano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Gamboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Omar Alpizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keilor Palacios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Montezuma AFC's Chunche Mena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Emilio Gamboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omar Alpizar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montezuma AFC's goalkeeper Omar Alpizar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Omar Alpizar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilio Gamboa went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Omar Alpizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Gamboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
