Spectators: 7698 (Terracing: 5775, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) San Jose's Fabian Quesada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes San Jose got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Quesada. After some careless play in the San Ramon defense, David Montoya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chico Luna. The San Ramon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Luna should have stopped the shot. Diego Masis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Piedra in the 13th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Fabian Quesada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Ramon's Chico Luna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabian Piedra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute Fabian Piedra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Masis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, San Jose's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Piedra came free, but Diego Masis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Luna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Quesada in the 28th minute of the match. San Jose's David Montoya got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Fabian Quesada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chico Luna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Irvin Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Masis having to interfere. Diego Masis was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Fabian Piedra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabian Piedra really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fabian Piedra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Diego Masis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irvin Guillen kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Chico Luna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Quesada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chico Luna was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anselmo Rosabal. After having played for 68 minutes, Manrique Jarquin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Ramon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manrique Jarquin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Manrique Jarquin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to San Jose getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Israel Navarro hit a great ball. Manrique Jarquin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Masis having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, San Ramon's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Quesada came free, but Chico Luna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fabian Quesada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chico Luna was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, San Jose's David Montoya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chico Luna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Montoya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Chico Luna made a huge save. After 89 minutes of play, San Jose's David Montoya made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chico Luna was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of San Jose booed when San Ramon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irvin Guillen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Jose walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
