Guillermo Lobo charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Lobo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Uvita AFC booed when Heredia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Lobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 26th minute of the match Guillermo Lobo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Guillermo Lobo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Heredia AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Guillermo Lobo hit a great ball. Olman Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Castillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfonso Gamboa's late challenge caught a Heredia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Gamboa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Uvita AFC's Alfonso Gamboa got a free kick in the 69th minute. Heredia AFC's Orlando Solera couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Uvita AFC. Olman Sanchez struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gabriel Castillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heredia AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Manuel Vindas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uvita AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Vindas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Orozco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvis Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Uvita AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alfonso Carrillo hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Orlando Solera in the 91st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Gabriel Castillo's left hand side. In the 96th match minute, Heredia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
