Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rafa Azofeifa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Henry Orozco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 8 minutes into the match, Heredia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Azofeifa came free, but Henry Orozco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Heredia AFC's Guillermo Lobo got a free kick in the 9th minute. Fabricio Cantillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Orozco having to interfere. Heredia AFC's Rodolfo Carballo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Buenaventura Centeno kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Heredia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Fabricio Cantillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Henry Orozco however easily saved by the left post. Fabricio Cantillo in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henry Orozco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Henry Orozco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Azofeifa in the 21st minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Playa Hermosa's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Carballo came free, but Salomon Centeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Carballo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Salomon Centeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabricio Cantillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Orozco having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Carballo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Playa Hermosa's Salomon Centeno. Salomon Centeno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Salomon Centeno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olman Sanchez went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Carballo made a kick off. If Olman Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Cantillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Orozco having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Rafa Azofeifa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Orozco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Guillermo Lobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match Olger Porras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Orozco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guillermo Lobo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Lobo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Heredia AFC's Guillermo Lobo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Salomon Centeno made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Olman Sanchez sent off a good shot on target. When Rodolfo Carballo came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Heredia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Carballo couldn't finish the play. Fabricio Cantillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Heredia AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
