Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) Napoleon Martinez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute Miguel Brenes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Castillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elvis Sancho's late challenge caught a Bejuco AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvis Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Elvis Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Brenes in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Castillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 played minutes Bejuco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Lozano. 16 minutes into the match, Napoleon Martinez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bejuco AFC's Santiago Oreamuno. Santiago Oreamuno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Uvita AFC's Gabriel Castillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Brenes in the 19th minute of play. Elvis Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Brenes in the 27th minute of play forced Uvita AFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Castillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bejuco AFC's Miguel Brenes in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uvita AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Manuel Vindas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santiago Oreamuno having to make a save. In the 38th minute, Manuel Vindas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uvita AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gabriel Castillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Brenes in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Brenes to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bejuco AFC's Fabian Lozano got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Vindas in the 65th minute of play forced Bejuco AFC's goalkeeper Santiago Oreamuno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Israel Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Kenneth Barquero from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Gabriel Castillo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Manuel Vindas took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santiago Oreamuno. Santiago Oreamuno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Gabriel Castillo came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Bejuco AFC's Israel Cortez. But to his dismay, Israel Cortez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. If Israel Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uvita AFC's Gabriel Castillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Uvita AFC from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
