San Jose's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willy Conejo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Stanley Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Tres Rios AFC's Anselmo Figueres got control of the ball when Isidro Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Josue Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanley Caballero in the 36th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tres Rios AFC's Johnny Carballo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Josue Hidalgo. That made the score 3-3 after 87 minutes of play. Willy Conejo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Figueres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tres Rios AFC's goalkeeper Anselmo Figueres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
