An unexpectedly hard shot by Berny Barboza in the 29th minute of play forced Stamford's goalkeeper Hector Ledezma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Pedro Calvo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Calvo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Frank Pinto got a free kick in the 33rd minute.
