Spectators: 6840 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Berny Barboza started the match with the kick off. Bryan Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berny Barboza in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Gaitan in the 5th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Angelin Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Leones FC's Ruben Huertas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bryan Cordero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ruben Huertas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berny Barboza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bryan Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manrique Alfaro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Enrique Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelin Arce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelin Arce didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 25th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After having played for 28 minutes, Alvin Salas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emelis f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvin Salas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Emelis f.c.'s Enrique Gaitan in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leones FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berny Barboza in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryan Cordero saved Emelis f.c. from getting behind. Leones FC's Berny Barboza got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emelis f.c.'s Bryan Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berny Barboza in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Miguel Artavia hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Gaitan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelin Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Gaitan in the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Emelis f.c.'s Anselmo Carrillo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ruben Huertas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryan Cordero having to make a save. Miguel Artavia hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Enrique Gaitan struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Angelin Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emelis f.c.. Berny Barboza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryan Cordero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvin Salas in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelin Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvin Salas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Emelis f.c.'s Manrique Alfaro got a free kick in the 85th minute. Bryan Cordero came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones FC's Berny Barboza. But to his dismay, Berny Barboza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 92 minutes into the match, Emelis f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Berny Barboza came free, but Bryan Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berny Barboza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
