Lucas Santamaria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodomiro Vanderlat having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 86th minute, Buenaventura Lankaster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Guadamuz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chico Hurtado. La Cruz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Evaristo Villegas scored 0-6 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chico Hurtado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Ulloa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chico Hurtado firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Maikol Talamanca fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cruz's protests and gave Maikol Talamanca a yellow card for diving instead. Maikol Talamanca kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes Club Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Israel Molina. The La Cruz fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Boca Juniors were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
