Reynaldo Huertas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Morera's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Guillermo Matamoros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Cesar Barahona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pancho Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Braulio Morera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Huertas. Municipal Paquera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Morera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Municipal Paquera's Reynaldo Huertas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Morera in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Olger Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Division Oruga's supporters rose to their feet, but Olger Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Huertas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Division Oruga's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Barahona came free, but Pancho Araya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Olger Arce made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Huertas. Municipal Paquera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Pancho Araya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Barahona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
