Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alan Mata started the match with the kick off. Tuto Matarrita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Parra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bernie Flores came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Grecia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernie Flores couldn't finish the play. Giovanni Parra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuto Matarrita having to interfere. Tuto Matarrita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Coto Brus's Otton Palacios shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 14th minute, Otton Palacios ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tuto Matarrita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Otton Palacios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tuto Matarrita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Artavia got free with Saul Molina in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Mainor Godinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernie Flores could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Saul Molina made a huge save. The supporters of Grecia booed when Coto Brus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mainor Godinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Grecia's Bernie Flores dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. If Bernie Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Alan Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Ismael Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grecia and the Coto Brus players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernie Flores received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Saul Molina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alan Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Guadamuz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giovanni Parra to strike the kick off in the second half. When Alan Mata came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Grecia fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Mata in the 67th minute of play forced Coto Brus's goalkeeper Saul Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Giovanni Parra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Giovanni Parra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th match minute, Grecia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Varela to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Coto Brus's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Mata came free, but Saul Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Molina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Mata's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Mata in the 89th minute of play forced Coto Brus's goalkeeper Saul Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Artavia charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Artavia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Coto Brus booed when Grecia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Artavia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otton Palacios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
