In the 93rd minute, Jose Lankaster fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Gimnastica Española supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Costa Rica's performance. The match ended with a win for Costa Rica.
