If Mainor Conejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Tenorio charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Tenorio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilio Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Fabian Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fútbol Club Barcelona's Oscar Campos got a free kick in the 18th minute. Emilio Maldonado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Tenorio in the 23rd minute. Fabian Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salomon Esquivel in the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manrique Blen during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Emilio Lozano made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Real Rosario Central booed when Fútbol Club Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Guevara got free with Fabian Martinez in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Real Rosario Central's Ismael Mena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabian Martinez. Fabian Martinez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Fabian Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Mena, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Dennis Guevara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabian Martinez came out and tried to block the shot, but Dennis Guevara slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 70th minute. A collision led to Real Rosario Central getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ismael Mena hit a great ball. Fidel Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Emilio Lozano struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fabian Martinez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Rosario Central. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Beto Alfaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Alfaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Martinez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Real Rosario Central's Fabian Martinez threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Beto Alfaro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 98th minute of the match Real Rosario Central got a corner. Fútbol Club Barcelona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Salomon Esquivel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Real Rosario Central's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
