The referee gave Xtreme X X a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Minor Vilchez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Union getse's Emilio Blanco. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nicolas Mondragon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Union getse's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Mondragon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Madriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Union getse's Fabian Paniagua dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alejandro Osorio made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Emilio Blanco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alfredo Palma charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Palma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Union getse players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
