UIR Alajuela's Ulises Sanchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Acuña in the 5th minute of play. Ulises Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacho Acuña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Nacho Acuña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ulises Sanchez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emiliano Victoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Lehman in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Darien Castillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Victoro. Grecia Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darien Castillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Emiliano Victoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Vindas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nacho Acuña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Sanchez having to interfere. Reiner Talamanca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanley Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Nacho Acuña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UIR Alajuela's Ulises Sanchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Vindas in the 31st minute of play forced Grecia Futbol Club's goalkeeper Emiliano Victoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nacho Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Grecia Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nacho Acuña couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, UIR Alajuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Acuña came free, but Ulises Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Anibal Vindas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nacho Acuña scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulises Sanchez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of UIR Alajuela booed when Grecia Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nacho Molina didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Grecia Futbol Club's Nacho Acuña in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UIR Alajuela's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darien Castillo made a kick off. Nacho Acuña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ulises Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Nacho Acuña sped through UIR Alajuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ulises Sanchez. After 61 played minutes, Grecia Futbol Club's Giovanni Echeverria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulises Sanchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grecia Futbol Club reached it. When Nacho Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Grecia Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nacho Acuña couldn't finish the play. Warner Mejias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Sanchez having to interfere. Ulises Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nacho Acuña in the 73rd minute of play. Grecia Futbol Club's Berny Camacho got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grecia Futbol Club made a substitution. Franklin Calderon replaced Reiner Talamanca. After 77 minutes, Nacho Acuña made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. UIR Alajuela's Ulises Sanchez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nacho Acuña got free in front of the goal in the 80th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ulises Sanchez was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Grecia Futbol Club's Nacho Acuña in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UIR Alajuela's goalie prevented a goal. Ulises Sanchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho Acuña, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ulises Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Calderon in the 88th minute of play. After 94 minutes, Nacho Acuña made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. UIR Alajuela's Ulises Sanchez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Grecia Futbol Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
