Rodolfo Rosales scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvin Lopez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Desiderio Palben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Desiderio Palben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cobano AFC booed when CD Juventud Hatillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Coto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Cobano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Talamanca. Alvin Lopez was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Fello Padilla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fello Padilla really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Alvin Lopez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilio Sancho went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 33 minutes, Fello Padilla made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cobano AFC's Alvin Lopez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Rosales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Juventud Hatillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cobano AFC the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julio Varela was the one to do the kick off. Alvin Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Sancho in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Rogelio Guadamuz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Palben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Cotos short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Desiderio Palben to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. CD Juventud Hatillo's Desiderio Palben played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Varela in the 59th minute of play. If Emilio Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 66 minutes into the game, when Adrian Gallo put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, CD Juventud Hatillo's Adrian Gallo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Bernardo Talamanca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Desiderio Palben skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Desiderio Palben made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Bernardo Talamanca sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Fello Padilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvin Lopez was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Cobano AFC's Edwin Carvajal got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alvin Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmer Guardia in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Sancho in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvin Lopez saved Cobano AFC from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, Cobano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Rosales came free, but Alvin Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Rogelio Guadamuz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Emilio Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Juventud Hatillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edwin Carvajal kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
