The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Union getse:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Juventud Hatillo:s goal. Rodolfo Rosales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Blanco having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Manuel Ramirez made a precise shot to the right of Desiderio Palben. CD Juventud Hatillo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Nicolas Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CD Juventud Hatillo's Desiderio Palben proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save CD Juventud Hatillo from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Union getse's Jaime Umaña got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Rodolfo Rosales came free in the 55th minute and tried to tip the ball over Emilio Blanco, but to the joy of Union getse's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. After 59 played minutes CD Juventud Hatillo got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Ledezma. Union getse's Emilio Blanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Rosales in the 61st minute of play. Efren Garita charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efren Garita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CD Juventud Hatillo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Otoniel Arroyo hit a great ball. If Fabian Paniagua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otoniel Arroyo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Union getse's attentive Nicolas Mondragon managed to snatch the ball when Oscar Ledezma made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute of the match Angel Villafranca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Desiderio Palben skillfully saved the ball. Emilio Blanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Miranda went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Nicolas Mondragon struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Desiderio Palben didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Union getse. Emilio Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
