Fabian Solano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Masis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Jaime Cubero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Umaña during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Martinez hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Jaime Cubero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Grande Club de fútbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Cubero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Cubero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabian Solano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Masis, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jaime Cubero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Fidel Masis made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Solano. raniza fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Fabian Solano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fidel Masis went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fidel Masis made the kick off in the second half. Luis Padilla struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Fabian Solano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Grande Club de fútbol. Fabian Solano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Masis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, raniza fc's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Masis came free, but Fabian Solano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Padilla scored 6-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Solano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celsinho Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nacho Carvajal in the 69th minute of play. If Jaime Cubero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Fidel Masis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rio Grande Club de fútbol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Rio Grande Club de fútbol's Celsinho Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Umaña in the 78th minute of play. Miguel Martinez charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Martinez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. raniza fc's Stanley Tenorio was substituted for Fabricio Garro. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Emilio Umaña managed to get in a good position for a shot. raniza fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Umaña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celsinho Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 played minutes Rio Grande Club de fútbol got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Cubero.
