Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Teodoro Talamanca took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 7 minutes of play, Pingones FC's Andrei Paniagua made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvis Ramirez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pablo Bolaños charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Bolaños the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Perez Zeledon FC booed when Pingones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Bolaños didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Perez Zeledon FC defense, Andrei Paniagua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvis Ramirez. The Perez Zeledon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvis Ramirez should have stopped the shot. Elvis Ramirez came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Pingones FC's Andrei Paniagua. But to his dismay, Andrei Paniagua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Elvis Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Paniagua in the 25th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Salvador Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pingones FC and the Perez Zeledon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Salvador Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Perez Zeledon FC booed when Pingones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Oses didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Mata in the 35th minute of play forced Perez Zeledon FC's goalkeeper Elvis Ramirez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes, Pingones FC's Mariano Soto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elvis Ramirez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pingones FC reached it. Elvis Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Paniagua in the 41st minute of the match. Elvis Ramirez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrei Paniagua was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Andrei Paniagua could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Elvis Ramirez however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Talamanca in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elmer Arrieta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elmer Arrieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Mejias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrei Paniagua kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elvis Ramirez. That made the score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. Elvis Ramirez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrei Paniagua in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Andrei Paniagua dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elvis Ramirez, 0-5. 78 minutes into the game, Andrei Paniagua recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elvis Ramirez. Andrei Paniagua showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 81st minute, Giovanni Paniagua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elvis Ramirez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Salvador Mata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elvis Ramirez, 0-7. 90 minutes into the match, Perez Zeledon FC's goalkeeper Elvis Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Vanderlat. Mario Mejias hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrei Paniagua got free with Elvis Ramirez in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Pingones FC's Giovanni Paniagua ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elvis Ramirez. Elvis Ramirez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. The Perez Zeledon FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pingones FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
