An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Chaclar in the 37th minute of play forced Platanillo AFC's goalkeeper Tito Hernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Leopardos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Parra came free, but Iwo Fronczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Leopardos FC booed when Platanillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Talamanca didn't get a good kick on the ball.
