Rene Orlich hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Tomás Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Nuñez in the 4th minute. Johnny Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Fallas in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Rene Orlich made a precise shot to the right of Johnny Hernandez. Santa Ana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 12th play minutes Rene Orlich shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Johnny Hernandez and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 16thth minute of the game Ruben Fallas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Ana's Johnny Hernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Rene Orlich notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Santa Ana's Johnny Hernandez. Johnny Hernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Hernandez's late challenge caught a Orosi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Hernandez helped the player get up and apologised. Ruben Fallas took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnny Hernandez. Johnny Hernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 37th match minute, Santa Ana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Guzman to maneuver through the defense. Johnny Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Quiros in the 40th minute of play. Otilio Artavia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santa Ana's Johnny Hernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Fallas in the 45th minute of play. Tomás Rosado made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Francisco Nuñez sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Segura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rene Orlich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Mauricio Quiros put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Johnny Hernandez. Rene Orlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Mauricio Quiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orosi's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Quiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Hernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santa Ana's Johnny Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Santa Ana from getting a goal against them. Johnny Hernandez didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Orosi's Ruben Fallas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-6 in the ordered_time% minute. Tomás Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Nuñez in the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Francisco Nuñez managed to get in a good position for a shot.
