Federico Lara was slow to take the kick. During this time Barrio Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Federico Lara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Novus72's Benito Sancho did a great save. Bernardo Merino charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Merino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Novus72 getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. The wind increased when Andrey Panfilov made the kick off in the second half. When Salomon Rosabal fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novus72's protests and gave Salomon Rosabal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barrio Mexico booed when Novus72 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salomon Rosabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Amador Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Løkin in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Jim Söderqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
