It was a penalty for CS La Libertad! 9 minutes into the match, Ordonez Valiño notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge. Ernesto Monge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Macho Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Millot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Gerardo Millot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Macho Thome was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Macho Thome stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustin Barrantes's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Marco Ureña struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Macho Thome didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CS La Libertad. Macho Thome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Millot in the 22nd minute of play. Macho Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Lobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 27th minute of play forced PITIN SPORT's goalkeeper Macho Thome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konrad Bejgier kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CS La Libertad's Marco Ureña got a free kick in the 30th minute. Macho Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Ureña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The CS La Libertad fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when CS La Libertad's Agustin Barrantes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustin Barrantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Barrantes in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Misaki in the 60th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Ernesto Monge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes, Konrad Bejgier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PITIN SPORT and the CS La Libertad players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, PITIN SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Bejgier to maneuver through the defense. Gerardo Millot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Macho Thome having to make a save. Agustin Barrantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Macho Thome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Marin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Macho Thome made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, PITIN SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Millot came free, but Macho Thome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by PITIN SPORT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Agustin Barrantes was slow to take the kick. During this time CS La Libertad's players had a chance to rest. Agustin Barrantes made a great header on CS La Libertad's corner, it was just that PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome managed to reach the ball for a save. 74 minutes into the match, Miguel Volio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Macho Thome. PITIN SPORT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Volio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. PITIN SPORT's Victor Benvide was substituted for Tom Misaki. After 79 played minutes PITIN SPORT got a freekick which was hit by David Hernandez. PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Volio in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in PITIN SPORT's zone, Luis Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Macho Thome came out of the goal and Luis Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Macho Thome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Volio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, PITIN SPORT's Ritchie Colbert got a free kick in the 84th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Miguel Volio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS La Libertad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Volio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. From a short distance, CS La Libertad's Miguel Volio, in the 88th minute, tried to place the ball behind Macho Thome, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Martin Sanchez hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes, CS La Libertad's Omar Guevara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Macho Thome came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CS La Libertad reached it. In the 91st minute Luis Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macho Thome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, CS La Libertad's Miguel Volio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Macho Thome. Macho Thome yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. When the match was over CS La Libertad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PITIN SPORT throughout the match.
