When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Quinton Oña put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Pinto Ruete. If Lisandro Berrios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Lisandro Berrios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pinto Ruete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pinto Ruete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinton Oña in the 35th minute of play. When Lisandro Berrios came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the BSC Hertha Berlin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Berrios couldn't finish the play. Pinto Ruete stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quinton Oña's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Occollo FBC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Pinto Ruete went to the wrong direction when Ambrosio Muñana was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alonzo Cabral made the kick off in the second half. Pinto Ruete acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Argoitz Zaldierna. Pinto Ruete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Berrios in the 58th minute of play. BSC Hertha Berlin's Tercero Valdeliso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Cabral in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Occollo FBC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Xian Camba hit a great ball. Quinton Oña's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Pinto Ruete skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Occollo FBC's goalkeeper Pinto Ruete, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lisandro Berrios's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Pinto Ruete skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Occollo FBC booed when BSC Hertha Berlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Yecora didn't get a good kick on the ball.
