Evaristo Echandi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Valdaliso in the 10th minute of play. Valery Llata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Su Aelle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Sansone Ponte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salvator Langarica charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvator Langarica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Poroto FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvator Langarica to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sansone Ponte in the 23rd minute of play forced Poroto FBC's goalkeeper Evaristo Echandi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Evangelista Subirada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poroto FBC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paucas the free kick. After 25 played minutes Poroto FBC got a freekick which was hit by Evangelista Subirada. In the 26th minute, Sansone Ponte made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Echandi. Poroto FBC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Poroto FBC's Francesco Llanos in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tercero Bernedo lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Paucas. Txeru Garrote stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evaristo Echandi. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sansone Ponte in the 49th minute of play forced Poroto FBC's goalkeeper Evaristo Echandi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sansone Ponte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Echandi stood somewhat misplaced when Hilario Valdaliso came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 54 minute. Evaristo Echandi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sansone Ponte went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute, Sansone Ponte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Echandi was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Sansone Ponte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sansone Ponte really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. With an all-out effort, Paucas's Evaristo Echandi threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sansone Ponte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After recieving a nice pass, Paucas's Txeru Garrote tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Poroto FBC's Evaristo Echandi got control of the ball when Hilario Valdaliso tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Valery Llata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd match minute, Poroto FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Huemen to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sansone Ponte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Echandi was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Nunez Indart kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Evaristo Echandi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sansone Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Paucas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Paucas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
