After 23 played minutes, Macullida's Bernardo Bello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frederik Perrote came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Macullida reached it. The audience was convinced that Txema Antigua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederik Perrote was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Txema Antigua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liher Vesga struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Frederik Perrote didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macullida. Taurino Zubeldia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Macullida's Taurino Zubeldia got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 84 played minutes Macullida got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Ludueña. The supporters of Achipina FBC booed when Macullida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Ludueña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marques Leniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Liher Vesga took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Frederik Perrote to make any attempt to save it. Marques Leniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xacintu Arce having to interfere. Sergio Respaldiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Xacintu Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Macullida supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Macullida would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
