Gutierrre Magdaleno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domiku Ciriaca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Matia Olveira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Surania's Domiku Ciriaca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Matia Olveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gutierrre Magdaleno in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domiku Ciriaca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jecanca's Matia Olveira got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Jecanca's Gutierrre Magdaleno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domiku Ciriaca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Gaizkine Carbajal fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jecanca's protests and gave Gaizkine Carbajal a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Jecanca got a freekick which was hit by Gaizkine Carbajal. Matia Olveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Domiku Ciriaca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Matia Olveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domiku Ciriaca was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Gutierrre Magdaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Jecanca were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Oyuelos was the one to do the kick off.
