Irubamba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duarte Pereda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Roman Bas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goren Pellicer having to interfere. Roman Bas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Goren Pellicer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Duarte Pereda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ponciano Doñez was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duarte Pereda to make the kick off. Filomeno Pereceira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irubamba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Masas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goren Pellicer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Bas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Pachapaque FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pachapaque FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
