Gaitano Galarza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Figueira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in PERU's zone, Cesar Olozaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Furman Arandoja came out of the goal and Cesar Olozaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Olozaga in the 32nd minute of play forced PERU's goalkeeper Furman Arandoja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Laurgain Pujana suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Remir Folgoso's late challenge caught a Jumbilla FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remir Folgoso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, PERU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remir Folgoso to maneuver through the defense. Jumbilla FBC's Oswaldo Principe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Furman Arandoja in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jumbilla FBC's Sarracino Elicegui got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesar Olozaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furman Arandoja having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlondo Pedriza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ambrosio Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlondo Pedriza, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ambrosio Figueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlondo Pedriza in the 56th minute of the match. Ambrosio Figueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Sarracino Elicegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Furman Arandoja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ambrosio Figueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlondo Pedriza, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Sarracino Elicegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
