The supporters of Llactahua booed when Sporting Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niolaao Ita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Cristal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Llactahua the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iratze Cora couldn't finish the play. Jorrin Osma was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes Sporting Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Jorrin Osma.

The wind increased when Iratze Cora made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Celino Cerrudemos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Cristal's supporters rose to their feet, but Celino Cerrudemos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iratze Cora blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edur Andres having to make a save. Enmanuel Graells might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edur Andres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enmanuel Graells ran back to his position shaking his head. Guido Crespin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Edur Andres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratze Cora in the 93rd minute of play forced Llactahua's goalkeeper Edur Andres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Angelino Darraña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iratze Cora struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Edur Andres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Cristal. When the referee ended the match the Sporting Cristal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
