Amancio Espelz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evarado Senderos. San José FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Xinto Usategui fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San José FC's protests and gave Xinto Usategui a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes San José FC got a freekick which was hit by Xinto Usategui. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Arias Machuca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesa Redonda F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Arias Machuca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evarado Senderos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evarado Senderos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arias Machuca's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Mesa Redonda F.C. booed when San José FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafel Costilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arias Machuca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the game, Arias Machuca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Evarado Senderos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aristides Rasa charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristides Rasa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Arias Machuca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evarado Senderos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vergaray Mauriz in the 45th minute of the match. Evarado Senderos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arias Machuca, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Vergaray Mauriz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Mesa Redonda F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeremy Saz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evarado Senderos made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Vergaray Mauriz sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the match, Mesa Redonda F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Saz came free, but Benvido Rellan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Arias Machuca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evarado Senderos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesa Redonda F.C.. Mesa Redonda F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
