Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Macoropa FC's Victor Añel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gines Reganado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Universitario de Deportes's Gines Reganado got control of the ball when Victor Añel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matteo Cardeños in the 12th minute of play forced Universitario de Deportes's goalkeeper Gines Reganado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matteo Cardeños fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gines Reganado having to interfere. Universitario de Deportes's Gines Reganado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Universitario de Deportes from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Caradaro Bascones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Orio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matteo Cardeños recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artizar Tolosa during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Universitario de Deportes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artizar Tolosa to maneuver through the defense. Gines Reganado came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Macoropa FC's Paulino Rada. But to his dismay, Paulino Rada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 39 minutes into the match, Macoropa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caradaro Bascones came free, but Aquiles Orio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caradaro Bascones struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Aquiles Orio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario de Deportes. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Victor Añel made the kick off in the second half. Artizar Tolosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute of the match Gaston Bujanda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aquiles Orio skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Macoropa FC's zone, Caradaro Bascones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Orio came out of the goal and Caradaro Bascones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaston Bujanda kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Victor Añel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Añel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Macoropa FC's Salvatore Portilla got a free kick in the 77th minute. Heriberto Sampayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Aquiles Orio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquiles Orio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caradaro Bascones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Macoropa FC's Victor Añel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gines Reganado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macoropa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Añel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvatore Portilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gines Reganado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Macoropa FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Victor Añel hit a great ball. When Pancho Mogrovejo fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Universitario de Deportes's protests and gave Pancho Mogrovejo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Macoropa FC booed when Universitario de Deportes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pancho Mogrovejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Macoropa FC's Chesus Frago broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Macoropa FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
