Gorka Cardeños took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txaran Gaztañondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes, Udalaitz Hinojos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Alianza Lima and the Illuta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Club Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Udalaitz Hinojos. Cugat Ayaso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chan Valenciano went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Xoan Ormaechea put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cugat Ayaso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xoan Ormaechea in the 17th minute of play forced Club Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Cugat Ayaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xoan Ormaechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cugat Ayaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lehior Bojorquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gorka Cardeños read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Chan Valenciano struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Cugat Ayaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illuta. With a little luck, Illuta's Gorka Cardeños got control of the ball when Lehior Bojorquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Txaran Gaztañondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cugat Ayaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xoan Ormaechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Chan Valenciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Illuta's supporters rose to their feet, but Chan Valenciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cugat Ayaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Club Alianza Lima's goal looked a bit too open when Chan Valenciano came free, but Cugat Ayaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Club Alianza Lima players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Illuta were winning 1-3.

Club Alianza Lima's Cugat Ayaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oxel Archuleta in the 54th minute of play. Xoan Ormaechea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cugat Ayaso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Xoan Ormaechea struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cugat Ayaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illuta. Chan Valenciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xoan Ormaechea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Xoan Ormaechea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cugat Ayaso. Club Alianza Lima's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xoan Ormaechea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Chan Valenciano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Club Alianza Lima's Cugat Ayaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Club Alianza Lima from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Xoan Ormaechea put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Cugat Ayaso. In the 81st play minute Xoan Ormaechea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cugat Ayaso. 1-7. In the 86thth minute of the game Chan Valenciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Alianza Lima's Cugat Ayaso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xoan Ormaechea came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cugat Ayaso could save by the left post. Xoan Ormaechea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Cugat Ayaso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Chan Valenciano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cugat Ayaso, passed just outside the right post. If Xoan Ormaechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Illuta played a much better game than Club Alianza Lima and deserved their victory. The Club Alianza Lima players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
