After 11 played minutes Copa FBC got a freekick which was hit by Mendiko Balanza. In the 14th minute Tomaca were awarded a corner. Hondo Cendan went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Copa FBC booed when Tomaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Bevia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julen Carrillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelito Manrique in the 18th minute of play. Bemabe Castelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Santos having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelito Manrique was the one to do the kick off. Copa FBC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
